In the past 17 years we have been privileged to have:

-Acquired 2,000+  individual ROW and Easement agreements covering more than 500+ lineal miles for one of the largest ongoing public/private telecom/fiber optics projects in the country- KentuckyWired Project. Experienced in condemnation requirements and processes, pole sharing and partnership agreements and negotiations with public and private entities and individuals.

-Performed in-depth due diligence reviews and land management on over 5 million net leasehold acres, 15,000+ lineal miles of midstream pipeline assets,  and more than 35,000+ producing oil and gas wells as part of client’s E&P and midstream acquisition projects. Clients included Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation, Nucor Steel Corporation, Carbon Natural Gas, EcoEnergy, Cimarex, Providence Energy, Chief Oil & Gas, Carrizo, Magnum Hunter Resources, Triad Hunter, Eureka Hunter Pipeline, MK Resources, Chesapeake Energy and others.

-Proud to work with The Nature Conservancy to review title, perform due diligence, and acquire acreage across their defined Critical Focus Area of Central Appalachia. 

-Worked with multiple renewable energy/solar EDP firms to identify and secure reclaimed mining area acreage in KY, OH, WV, and PA for wholesale power generation sales into PJM Interconnection Service Areas and also for community solar projects in IL.

-Leased in excess of 1.5 Million Gross Acres in Appalachia (PA, OH, WV, KY) for O&G clients and Purchased in excess of 600,000 Gross Acres of Fee minerals and Royalty Interests by deeded conveyance.

-Reviewed/Audited more than 6,000 individual legacy oil and gas lease agreements and pipeline storage easements for storage and surface access provisions for client’s gas storage field expansion projects – Subcontractor to Reed Smith LP on behalf of TransCanada/TC Energy.

-Performed curative title and administration  and assisted in the effective and economic transfer and recording of ORRI in more than 1,000 producing units comprised of more than 10,000 oil and gas leases in the Marcellus Shale play of NE PA.

-Worked with major private equity Stream & Wetland Credit Mitigation Bank participants and Environmental Engineering Firms in identifying and securing acreage across KY, WV, TN, PA, and VA that conforms to the US Army Corps Engineers stream /wetlands mitigation programs and the KY Dept Fish and Wildlife Resources FILO program and in support of Kentucky Transportation Cabinet programs.

-Worked with clients to identify various real property investments under IRS Sec. 1031 Exchange Guidelines in KY, WV, OH, and VA and provided due diligence related to Opportunity Zone investments as qualified under Federal Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017.

-Performed certified unit and drill site title abstract and examination as a subcontractor to legal firms on some of the largest Marcellus units in SW PA and Utica units in SE OH as well as smaller shallow oil well units in KY, WV, VA, IL, OH and TN.

-Provided expert witness testimony and reports in multiple land and energy related litigation suits.

-Assisted clients providing staff support for surveying projects, GIS Mapping and ESRI services, land record administration, Trust management,  Land Conservancy Programs and real property tax and assessment management.

Conducted complete due diligence and deal sourcing for Australian and European based investors evaluating more than 50+ standalone thermal and met coal production deals. Included review of permitted operations with ongoing production and existing reserve reports and evaluation of undeveloped acreage with in situ reserves and identification of newly found reserves, exploration management, and property control. Worked closely with Cardno Marshall Miller, Gates Consultants and Evergreen Development, LLC.
